Typical day 09:00-17:00, fuel excluded (about 7-8 litres/hour).
The classic self-drive route: out of the harbour, skirting Sazan (note: landing forbidden outside St. Nicholas bay and no fishing within 1 mile), Haxhi Ali Cave from the outside, then the bays of Shën Vasil and Dafina for swimming. Frequently asked questions
Do you really need no licence?
Correct: in Albania a RIB up to 40 hp can be driven without a boating licence, from 18 years. Before departure there's a 20-30 minute briefing on controls, routes and restrictions.
How much is fuel?
Depends on the route: for the classic Sazan + Haxhi Ali + bays loop count on €40-60 of petrol. The tank leaves full and returns full.
Can you land on Sazan island?
Only in St. Nicholas bay (June-November). The rest of the island is a restricted military zone: you skirt it without approaching the shore.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, usually €200-300 in cash or a card hold, returned on undamaged return. No deposit with a skipper.
