The panoramic tour: you climb from Vlorë along dirt tracks through olive groves to the village of Kaninë and its medieval castle, from where the whole bay opens before you — from the promenade to Sazan island and, on clear days, to Italy.
Direct booking with local operators: no hidden fees, free cancellation up to 48h before.
Kaninë castle dates back to the 4th century BC and was a stronghold of Albanian independence: the Venetian and Ottoman walls can be visited freely and the guide tells you the place's story while you look at the bay from above.
The route combines secondary asphalt and easy dirt tracks, with a few demanding but never technical climbs. On the way back, a stop at a village spot for welcome raki (optional!) and mountain cheese.
Those wanting to combine quads and culture, photographers, couples. As easy as the lagoon tour but with the best view.
Runs all year: in winter with a windbreaker provided by us. Heavy rain = rescheduling or refund.
No, entry is free and included in the tour stop.
About 400 metres of elevation, on road and easy dirt. Nothing technical, but the climb is steady.
